POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position impacts health and safety in which the Internal Treatment Coordinator (ITC) coordinates all services, therapies and/or treatment provided to an individual by the Article 16 clinic. In addition, the ITC collaborates with the Care Manager, staff involved with the individual's care, outside providers, and family members to ensure coordinated treatment. The ITC ensures compliance with regulations which impact revenue generation. The ITC ensures there are no duplication of clinical services, and the Article 16 clinic services are only reimbursed in the four specified areas. Coordination of an individual's care supports is overseen by this position. The ITC is required to ensure we meet regulations for the Article 16 clinic. This item would allow for us to meet the health and safety needs of those we serve as well as increase revenue and assist individuals with living in the least restrictive setting possible. The Adirondack clinic oversees approximately 300 medical patients who reside in 75 State Operated group homes, individuals who reside in 48 family care homes and those who reside in private homes. The ITC also oversees approximately 250 patients for psychiatry services, 274 patients who receive dental services, as well as IPSIDD services that span over 72 IRA's and 58 family care homes. Salary Range:
From $49202 to $62806 Annually
Minimum Qualification
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
o In title Habilitation Specialist 1, Grade 14. OR o Eligible for 70.1 transfer by way of current permanent status in a title deemed comparable to Habilitation Specialist 1 by the Department of Civil Service (must also be within 2 salary grades of grade 14.) QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disorder Professional) designation is preferred but not required and requires one year's experience working with people with a developmental disability AND a bachelor's degree or higher in a human services field (including, but not limited to:
sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology). OR o Eligible for provisional appointment pending examination. To be eligible for provisional appointment, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or higher in a human services field. A degree in a human service field includes the professional disciplines of audiology, community mental health, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, vocational counseling, social work, speech/language pathology, and therapeutic recreation (including concentrations in art, creative arts, dance, drama, music, or physical education.) Also included are related academic disciplines associated with the study of human behavior (e.g., gerontology, human services, sociology, speech communication); or human skills development (e.g.,counseling/guidance, education, human development.) Examples of non-qualifying degrees include but are not limited to criminal justice, political science, liberal arts, and business. If you are appointed provisionally, you must take the next scheduled civil service examination for this title and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed. If you do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score, you may not be retained .Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
