As an Elder Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to elderly individuals in their daily activities.
Your role will involve providing personal care, assisting with medication administration, and ensuring the overall well-being of our elderly residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to elderly individuals in assisted living facilities or private homes - Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel - Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques to ensure safety - Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly individuals - Help with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed - Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents - Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for residents
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required - Familiarity with working with elderly individuals or people with autism is a plus - Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently Skills:
